The Inspiration behind my E-book

I decided to write Emerging Artist 101: Protecting Your Music because a lot of artists fail to protect themselves when they begin their career. The excitement creating and releasing music to the masses is exciting! Especially when people really vibe with your music. As a new artist I understand that the goal is to get your art in the ears of others; however, having a one-track mind fueled by excitement overshadows the most important step. My brother is a producer. I told him several years ago when I was still in college that he needed to copyright his music and brand. Did he listen? No, and someone stole his music that is now being streamed and played millions of times. WHoever stole it is currently making money hand over fist and my brother is left holding that L. Shortly after he listened and now he copyrights everything! I have seen personally first hand the repercussion of not protecting yourself and your music. I want everyone to have access to resources to protect themselves. My book is a super short guide that literally walks artists by their hand on how to protect themselves on all fronts.
